Basil & Hemp Seed Pesto

Get any meal off to a fresh start by making a Basil Hemp Seed Pesto. Add it to pizza, pasta, wraps or use it as a delicious salad dressing or fabulous dip! Remember to always buy fresh LOCAL produce for the best flavour and results!




Organic Ingredients:


· 1 bunch basil, leaves and stems

· 1 bunch parsley, leaves and stems

· 4 cloves garlic, minced

· 4 tbsp non-fortified nutritional yeast

· ¼ cup hemp seeds

· 1 lemon, juiced

· 1/3 cup ground flaxseed

· ¼ cup avocado oil

· pink salt and black pepper to taste


Method:

1. In a blender or food processor simply blend all ingredients together.

2. Depending on your blender or food processor you may need to add extra oil.

3. Next add in the flaxseed and pulse 4-5 times so it’s well combined.

4. Store in a sealed mason jar in the fridge up to 2 weeks.
